Quick Take
A cozy romance that asks what would happen if Mr. Darcy walked into modern London, then proves the real love story isn’t quite the one you expect.

- You like cozy romances with a smidge of magic realism.
- You enjoy found family stories as much as romance.
- You don’t mind a closed-door romance.
Skip This If…
- You’re looking for a romance that takes center stage.
- Magical realism isn’t your thing.
- You want a fast-paced plot.
My Thoughts
I love Mr. Darcy, so this book was always going to have an advantage with me. What I ended up loving most, though, was that the story wasn’t really about Zoe falling in love. It was about Zoe realizing there were parts of her life that were missing and discovering that what she wanted had been right in front of her all along.
I also loved the idea that there was something in Zoe that allowed Mr. Darcy to step out of his book to help her figure it out. Instead of becoming a typical love triangle, the story focuses on getting him back where he belongs and the people they meet along the way.
If you’re looking for an open door romance, you’ll want to look elswhere. But, if you love a good cozy friendship with some light romance this could be the book.
